Adrian Shephard and Rinus van Alebeek talk with Shelley Hirsch

Shelley Hirsch came to the Oranien Studio to talk with Shephard and Van Alebeek. Songs of her beautiful album Where were you then are played; Shelley talks about some of the songs, which brings her to her eye-witnessing the 9/11 attack just a few blocks from where she lived, but takes the listener also to California in the early 70s, Amsterdam when flower power was written on every T-shirt, to Brooklyn, her father playing songs on an old gramophone. Shelley Hirsch’s storytelling is totally captivating and brings hilarious moments. Also hear how she discovered that Adrian’s brother is a priest.

Shelley Hirsch interview is played all through December on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 11:00-13:00 Berlin Time (-6 for Brooklyn and Brighton Beach)
