We kickstarted the second summer of Dub in the last On u selector show featured on Radio On. Uk digital dub is a highly unique phenomena that sprang up thirty years ago . Leading luminary figures were Zion Train who quickly grasped the multi media approach .The first summer of Dub began with Zion train and me via Ohm sound system and its frequent gigs alongside artists on the label including a hard to find cassette I helped release.
We continue here with the hardy perennial Zion train, their lp Illuminate released in spring 2020
Zion train have steadily evolved over time. The show is a mix by Dj Smart monkey and features collaborations with long time creative partners Ruts DC who are also releasing their live recordings of the Crack.
The show’s mix feature superb early Eggy dub plates and a high grade inspired mix by my guest Guarin Tees on the ones and twos !!
