Talk by Nishant Shah on King Lear’s daughter, Amanda Todd and ‘pornographic’ as a Regulator at Porntubes Conference of the Disruption Network Lab
A talk by Nishant Shah on pornography that starts with a description of a scene of King Lear in which he asks his daughters to describe their love for him; while the two oldest daughters excel in poetic descriptions, the youngest daughter doesn’t say anything at all. Upon asked what she thinks, she answers:”nothing.”
Nishant Shah continues his talk describing love vs porn and arrives at the case of Amanda Todd who killed herself. She was fallen victim to the phenomenon of slut-shaming.
Shah’s talk is full of little stories that take the weight of the subject, which makes it a very pleasant listen.
