Gabriel S. Moses – Talk at A Game of You conference: SOCIAL MEDIA AS A PSYCHEDELIC WEBCOMIC

Disruption Network Lab organises a series of conferences in Berlin. The third one that we cover is called A Game of You.

Keynote speaker was Gabriel S Moses. His approach to understanding social media is to envision it as a comic strip, filled with villains and strange characters. And yes, even you can become a character in someone else’s comic strip world.

Funny thing about the talk is Moses’ energy; he turns it into a rock concert. You might shrug your shoulders when listening, but you might also see your Fb page take on an other identity, right before your very eyes.

After listening to the talk it occurred to me that Harry Potter, The Game of Thrones and ISIS are expressions of that same Fb comic strip world.
