Anders Östberg – High Himalayas, Crystal Waters and Electronic Impulses. Music from my Collection.

A new program by Anders Östberg after a seven month’s hiatus.
But there is a good reason for this.
The collection from which Anders chooses his tracks for the program
is full of rarities and contains vinyl that are considered to be lost for ever.
If there were a Lost Ark of Psychedelia
it must have stranded in Anders’ living room.

Listening to his pick of the seven months is a mind-boggling experience.
The quality of the sound itself
as well as the feel of it
causes a trip right through the decades to a life that seems outer-wordly.

The music and the images it evokes does not connect to something we know as contemporary;
it is science-fiction that gazes backwards in time.

Word to Anders:

“Something that Sweden and Holland had in common
in the late 1960s / early 1970s was the liberal laws for sex and porn.
So, i will include a track (side A) from First International Sex Opera Band album Anita
(that supposedly only sold through sex shops in Amsterdam
during a short time at the end of the 1960s),
one of my all-time fave albums.

And in memory of performance poet Blake Parker, Intersystems.”
